Stronghold (2nd edition)

Event #: SUN-BG-24 GM: Dan Rye
Event Description: Stronghold is a two-player game telling the story of a siege. Players take opposing sides: one has to defend the stronghold, and the other has to break into the castle as soon as possible. The game board represents the stronghold itself as well as the surrounding terrain, where enemy forces are placed and whence they proceed to the walls.

The defender has a small number of soldiers manning the walls, while the invader has an infinite legion of attacking creatures. A desperate fight takes place every single turn. The invaders build war machines, equip their soldiers, train them, and use black magic rituals to achieve victory. Meanwhile, defenders repair walls, build cannons, train soldiers, and do everything they can to hold the castle as long as possible.

If the invader manages to break into the castle before the end of seven rounds, they win; otherwise the defender wins.

DRAGON STORM Demo 2

Event #: SUN-RP-11 GM: AL BAKER
Duration: 4 hour(s)
Event Description: Attention moms, dads, new gamers and veterans. You are looking for a role-playing game with a rich world and an easy system to learn. A game that emphasizes role-playing and teamwork. You don’t necessarily want to buy into it, but you would like to give it a try.
Dragon Storm is that game! Shape shifting dragons used to rule the world. They often lived and raised families among the humans, elves, dwarves and other races. You have dragon DNA in your ancestry that was energized by a “wild” magic storm. A Dragon Storm. During the storm you shifted for the first time. Either into a dragon, a unicorn, a werewolf, a Pegasus, or a phoenix. Pretty cool, huh?
Unfortunately, you are now hunted by world ruling necromancers who want to drain that power and kill you in doing it.
Fortunately, you were found by a guerilla group, the Valarians, who taught you to harness your power. They have become your family. You have vowed with them, to fight the necromancers, their minions, and the magic warped areas and creatures in the world.
Your character skills are represented with cards. (Veteran gamers, don’t run away screaming! This is not MTG!) As your character grows, you add new skills. Perfect for someone new to roleplaying or to a veteran who wants to try something new. Everything is provided. Ages 12 and up.
